Meet our Therapist -Carmen Caruana
With 24 years of experience as a massage therapist and as the owner of Essence of Health Vermont; Carmen combines the use of several techniques in her treatments. Carmen is also a qualified Bowen Therapist and currently studying Emmett Therapy.
Taking pride in her work, she will develop a treatment which suits you on the day that you attend. She will listen to your needs and work closely with you to provide the best treatment possible for you. Her treatment will be individual to you, consisting of a variety of techniques all worked at your chosen pressure. If you have particular muscle tension or chronic pain she will assess where you need treatment and what may be causing your pain. Sometimes we need to assess areas to see exactly which muscles are giving you trouble and so as to tailor a treatment to best suit you. The treatment itself may involve deep tissue work or gentle stretches if required. Her technique will de-stress and loosen up your body, it’s great if you’ve had a hard working week or if you have developed pain in any given area. It is the perfect way to relax both your muscles and your mind.
Carmen regularly attends continued education courses to update her skills.

Meet our Therapist - Masaki Panayiotou
Masaki is a Qualified Remedial Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner. She will always endeavor to do her best to ensure you are happy with the treatment you are receiving. She is experienced in the use of cupping which she can combine in her treatments.
Taking pride in her work, she will develop a massage which suits you on the day, consisting of a variety of techniques some of which may include deep tissue massage, flowing strokes, kneading and working of the muscles, all at your chosen pressure.
She regularly attends continued education courses to update her skills.

Masaki is also a Reiki Practitioner- clients report that they feel a sense of calm, mental clarity or sleeping well after her session.
Meet our Therapist -Aly Cavanagh
Alys has practised as a remedial massage therapist for over 10 years, during which time she has won multiple awards, including the AAMT (Australian Association of Massage Therapists) National Scholarship Award in May 2011 in recognition of her work in providing accessible and excellent massage to those in her local community experiencing marginalisation. She was also awarded the Sue White award for Excellence in Knowledge Application for her research work on the role of massage therapy in the treatment of fibromyalgia during her remedial studies.
Alys draws from a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience to deliver a massage that is tailored to your needs. These include remedial and sports techniques, acupressure, cupping and hot stone therapy, as well as therapeutic and Swedish relaxation. Alys loves the diversity of needs she encounters amongst her clients. She has a particular passion for, and specialised skills working with, clients diagnosed ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, with cancer (including palliative care), mental health illness, children and adolescents, and clients with complex disabilities.
